Have we settled for something less than what Jesus intended for His church?

Don’t just do it for me. Teach me so I can do it, too. And then, let me be able to teach someone else. Isn’t that what discipleship is?

Jesus knew that the resurrection would come. He knew what it would be like to be reunited with the Father in Heaven. He wasn’t focused on the pain ahead, but the joy that was coming.

Learn the lessons that separation can bring, but run when you spot home. Your Father always leaves the light on.

Fall to His feet and trust in Him. This is where true faith is built.

Put down the phone. Close your laptop. Be present in the life you have been given. Take joy today in the time the Lord has blessed you with!

God desires our obedience. He wants a heart that loves him so much, it is willing to trust and obey Him…even when it’s hard.

My impatient and anxious heart can get the best of me, how about you? Lord, we know You have great things in store for us. Help us to learn to trust You, Lord!

When Jesus told us to love others…

When we are afraid, we can turn our eyes to our Savior.

We must show others the same compassion Jesus has shown us.

Far too many will accept Jesus, but never experience the true reward of having a close relationship with Him.

Are we really true followers of Christ? Is there complete and total commitment? Have you surrendered your life to Him? Take up thy cross and follow.

We don’t always understand God’s plan. We don’t like to see our friends or family struggle or suffer, but it’s important to remember, God’s got this. He is in control.

Jesus is there, even in our blindspot.

His perfect timing allows us to grow in knowledge, wisdom, discernment and love.

God is such a gentleman, He will let us run, but sooner or later, we will come face-to-face with the consequences of our actions.

The Love of God crushes the notion that love is something we can earn.

Today, the question is posed to you – Who is Jesus? Your answer determines your destiny. Is He your father? Do you have a relationship with Him where you know you are His daughter or son?

You cannot do this on your own. You need Jesus. Trust in Him to provide what you need.

We’ve seen His goodness time and time again. We’ve witnessed what He can do and we know what He’s promised to do, but… we turn the knob on the side of that box, wondering if He’s really going to show up.

Jesus was the Messiah, the healer, the One whom they had heard about their whole lives, and their faith in those things brought them to the mountain, believing in Him to save them. How far will you go to be saved?

When we feel “stuck,” we can learn a lot about God and His heart for us and our world.

We must resist our tendency to quench our spiritual thirst with the wrong things.

Friends, we have not and could not earn anything of the Lord except His wrath. Death is the only thing we are deserving of. And we will see it. But if we humble ourselves before the Lord, repent of our sins and ask for His forgiveness, He will be gracious enough to save us.

We can dress it up, make it look beautiful, appealing, delightful, and inviting, but if anyone were to see the inside of each of us, would they be shocked? The only thing that can change our heart is Jesus.

He knows us, even more than we know ourselves.

The truth is, the Word of God is offensive. It cuts deep to the core. The very innermost parts of our souls. Exposing our sin, shining light on the darkness we want to stay hidden.

Joshua was a great leader and example for his family, his community and all that he encountered. Could the same be said for you and me? Are we the leader God has instructed us to be? To our families, to our community, to all those we encounter… let us be great leaders and show them the truth of Jesus Christ!

Even rocks, which are cold, hard, and stubborn, recognize the power and authority of God! If God’s people fail to recognize the Lord for who He is, even the rocks will cry out as a witness!

The Psalms teach us how to pour our hearts out to God.

God commands us to delight in Him!

We are saved by the grace of God. Nothing we can do ourselves can save us. If we could, we would boast about it and then what would be the purpose of the cross? Why would Jesus have had to suffer and die if I could earn my way to heaven?

Sometimes the Lord does not intervene immediately when we sin. He is patiently waiting for us to confess our sin and turn away from it, choosing His way over our own. But just because He may seem or feel silent does not mean He approves of our sin.

Jesus shows us what to do when faced with anxiety.

Resolving conflict is not easy. However, if we hear out the other side of the story, many times, the truth is revealed and a fight can be avoided.

Our anxiety is sometimes a result of a lack of communication, especially with God.

I am undeserving of God’s love and promises. Yet, even while I was a sinner, Christ chose to fulfill His promise and died for my sins so that I could have a future in Heaven. He did that for me, and He did that for you!

As a child of God, I have been forgiven of my sins. My debt has been paid. I am no longer guilty before the almighty God.

Repentance begins in our heart.

Creation declares the glory of God. Do you?

God doesn’t need our praise, but we do.

We have the very Word of God before us and the Living Word within us.

Prayer before action is not always natural for us, but it reminds us of who God is and makes space for Him to work in a mighty way.
