It may be that God wants you to be satisfied with Him, the giver of great blessings, before getting the blessing. It may be that He is getting you ready to experience Him in a whole new way. A fiery sort of way.

Like Jesus did often, take time to get away and pray. Seek the Lord’s wisdom and ask for discernment in this situation. Study His Word and live it out. You know who wins in the end.

What “cup” has the Lord given you?

Like the pressure of the earth creating diamonds out of carbon deposits, God is creating something beautiful out of you. It doesn’t make the trial or the storm any easier. But knowing God is at work is comforting in the midst.

Today, let’s allow the Lord to shine His truth into our lives, searching our intent and refocus on what’s really important.

Like my avocado aversion, we can live our whole lives seeing God from a distance, never truly experiencing Him. We can miss out on incredible moments of God because we’re too afraid of letting go of our life preservers and getting out of our safety boats.

Have you met Jesus? How did that change you? Have you professed that to the world? We all have a story to share, will you tell yours?

Jesus is our guide on the uncertain path of life.

Turn to Him in your despair, anger, hurt, and frustration. Allow Him to work all things out for you.

When we look at our daily routine, do we have a time set aside for getting alone with God?

When we find ourselves in that position, in the middle of never-where, we have a choice. We can follow the example of Judas or we can follow the example of Peter.

Fearing God isn’t being afraid of Him – it’s being scared of living life without Him.

To be a leader one must have a servant’s heart.

We can run with endurance because God supplies what we need along the way.

Today, let’s remember what God has called us to do and do it. Don’t get focused on the wrong things, the things that won’t really matter in eternity.

Why do we put off doing what we want to do?

Jesus has invited all of us to the table. Will you come?

Jesus. He alone deserves our worship and praise.

If God has saved you, you have been brought into His marvelous light, as the scripture says. You have been changed! And it’s time to celebrate!

In Jesus we have a fresh start.

Don’t let this New Year begin without a renewed commitment to Him…His way, His time, His glory.

The Bible tells us to examine ourselves. Ask the tough questions about your salvation. Test yourself to see if you are truly saved.

Jesus beckons. He calls us to join Him. To sit at His feet. To seek His face. To feel His presence.

God’s Word is worthy, withstands the pressure of change, and it’s an eternal commitment. If God says it, I believe it.

Jesus works in our bad days, sometimes even more than on our good days.

Jesus never promised the road would be easy as His follower. In fact, time and time again, He pointed out how hard it would be. But the rewards far outweigh the risk.

If you want to build a life worth living, Jesus must be the beginning. He must be the cornerstone.

Our motive for following Jesus matters.

It’s time to let Jesus do what needs to be done in our lives. Restore. Refresh. Renew.

If you’ve been saved by Jesus, if you’ve put your faith and trust in Him, you are His servant. It’s time to get to work. It’s time to build the kingdom of God!

May we also decide in our hearts to keep studying God’s Word, following Him in obedience!

Are you struggling against your sin or are you complacently accepting it?

The moment you decide to follow Jesus, a change takes place. No more wilting, yellow leaves. Blooms begin to appear and the sweet smelling fragrance is a beautiful aroma to the Lord.

Are you missing the point? Jesus is calling to you today. He wants to come in and abide with you.

Do people praise God because they see the difference He has made in our lives?

By God’s grace, we are to “cut off” the things in our lives that do not honor Him.

Let’s find ways to point our hearts toward Jesus throughout Christmas and everyday.

We are an aroma of Christ everywhere we go.

Recognizing Jesus as God is the first step toward faith. Without the knowledge of who He truly is, we can’t go further.

Jesus loves you and He will never let you go.

The cure for hypocrisy is telling the truth.

God calls each of us to present ourselves to Him as a living sacrifice.

In all things, the Lord has heard my cries and answered my prayers. Some are still waiting for answers, but while I wait, I pray, continuing to bring that to the Lord and trust that He will answer it, in His time.

We will know when Jesus returns. There will be no doubt. All will be able to see.

Do our actions tell the same story as our words?

We will never regret obeying God.

It’s always good to examine ourselves and our motives. Are we serving God because we love Him and want to obey, or are we wanting extra credit for it?

Your faith doesn’t have to be huge to be effective. Allow God to use the winters of this life to grow you.

It’s time to check our walk. Are we throwing out banana peels? Are there things in our life that are causing our brother to stumble?
