When you look at this picture, you may say, “What was Linda thinking? This is not a pretty picture.”
But look closer. In this picture are blooming daffodils and an old homestead that has seen better days. That old homestead was the home of my great-grandfather and great-grandmother. They raised their family in this house. Then my grandfather and grandmother raised their family there. Likely, my grandmother or great-grandmother planted these bulbs that are blooming today.
A fine example of how what we do on this earth will outlive us.
“Instead, store up riches for yourselves in heaven, where moth and rust cannot destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:20–21
