In high school, there would be times our girls team would be allowed to scrimmage with the high school boys team. It was always a no-brainer that they would be faster and would beat us down the court every time. It was obvious that they would get the tip-off because they could jump higher. So, in the end, while we had fun, we knew we probably wouldn’t win. When it was time for awards every year, there was no doubt in my mind that I was thankful I wasn’t competing against the guys. I would have never been recognized for my speed, agility or scores.

Men are created differently than women. Their body structure, muscles, brain and abilities are unique to each sex. But in today’s world, that truth is being challenged.

Women’s sports are changing before our eyes as transgender athletes are suing for discrimination. But who are the real victims in these cases? Women athletes are standing up and speaking out to protect the future of athletics and competition.

Many want to claim it’s a right for the transgender person. But what is the truth regarding gender?

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” (Deuteronomy 22:5)

God is not speaking about clothes. This scripture points out the sexual role of a man and a woman. Their roles, just like their bodies, are uniquely different, and are not to be altered or changed.

God is clear in His design. He created Adam as a man with a specific body and role. He created Eve as a woman with a unique body and role to her. This was His design. Perfect. Flawless. And as mankind chose to disobey God, sin entered into the world. And we are still battling it today.

The issues aren’t just in women’s athletics. Now we have companies that encourage parents to change the sex of their baby in the womb.

When will we wake up? When will we see the truth? When will our eyes be opened and we realize we have to take a stand for ourselves and our children?

May we fall on our face before God and beg Him for forgiveness! And may we share the truth in love with those that are struggling with sin, as we are all sinners. There is hope in Jesus! He alone can save us! It is not God who corrupts or confuses, but Satan. Trust in the Lord and He will direct your path to righteousness.
