The Spirit

Let Him sit or swirl or settle.
Let Him transform or remain.

Let Him rush quick or let Him tarry.
Let Him wash over you today.

Let Him stagnate and still your soul.
Let Him take you in His tide.

Let Him beckon you to joy.
Let Him draw you in and abide.

Let Him dwell with you in sorrow.
Let Him teach you a brand new song.

Let Him loosen your hands in surrender.
Let Him tighten your grip to hold on.

Let Him draw you out to the deep
Let Him comfort you on the shore.

Let Him point to future beauty.
Let Him stir your longing for more.

I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. John 14:16-17
