I’ll Fly Away
28 Views

This is my all-time favorite image. Whenever I think about this hot air balloon ride and the photography experience I had, the old hymn, I’ll Fly Away, begins to play in my mind.

Humans are bound to an earthly existence without the aid of technology. Recently, we watched astronauts prepare to journey farther into space than ever before, relying entirely on remarkable advances in technology.

According to Google, the Artemis program has required years of planning, thousands of engineers, scientists, and contractors from NASA, the Canadian Space Agency, and private industry, along with an enormous financial investment.

One day, life on earth will come to an end for every one of us. I praise the Lord that I have the assurance I won’t need technology to leave this world. Instead, I have the promise of an eternal home with my God and Savior. As the old hymn beautifully says,

“Some glad morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away; To a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away.”
