He’s Real
213 Views

It was a beautiful fall morning. Blue skies, sunshine, trees in various shades of green, yellow, red and brown. It seemed like the perfect time to go for a run.

I turned on my music and hit the road. While I was trying to motivate myself to keep going, a little breeze of wind blew through, causing a flurry of activity in the trees. The branches let go of their leaves and the wind carried them across my path.

The thought crossed my mind – how incredible the wind is. You can’t see it, but you can see the effects of it. You can feel it’s presence.

John 1:18

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”

If no one has ever seen God, how do we know He is real? Because we see the effects. We feel His very presence. And His one and only Son, Jesus Christ showed us His character. In the bosom of the Father means that Jesus was at the Father’s side, close intimacy with God.

Through Jesus, we learn that God loves all people, He desires to walk with them daily, to teach them, to commune with them, and to save them and give them a home for eternity with God.

God reveals Himself to us daily, sometimes in grand ways but more so, He uses quiet moments when we are still and attentive, listening for His voice.

God is real. He’s as real today as He was when He created the earth. When He created man and walked with him daily. When He parted the Red Sea for Moses and His people. When He defeated a giant through a boy with a sling and a stone. When He came to earth as a baby, born to a virgin. When He defeated death and rose from the grave.

He’s as real as when He began calling to your heart as He is today.

Be still. Listen. Do you feel His presence? Jesus is calling.
