Are You Fully Surrendered?

Do you believe that God is anxious and ready work in your life?

Most of my adult Christian life, when it came to growing and living my faith, I avoided those spiritual tasks, those areas of service that made me uncomfortable. I had many excuses. All of which boil down this: I assumed if it made me uncomfortable then it must be something I am not equipped to do. The irony is that if we only do things in our comfort zone, we limit both our personal growth in Christ and we limit Christ’s opportunity to be glorified. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that “His power is made perfect in our weakness.”

I want to simply encourage you with this one challenge: Don’t limit God. Find strength and courage and the faith to get uncomfortable by trusting God. How do you do this? “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in me.” John 15:4.

I heard it said recently that the most dangerous place for any person is when they sense no need of God. In what way does your life reflect a person who is living dependent on God?  There is no better feeling in the life of a disciple than to know that you were used by God in such a way that the only explanation for what happened is God himself. Don’t limit God – he can use you in ways you can’t even imagine if you make yourself available.
