Simply Psalm 23

Today I simply want to share one of the greatest passages, I think, in all of Scripture. No commentary or other thoughts, simply Scripture. This isn’t just a funeral passage, even though that seems to be where we hear it the most. This is a passage meant for good times and bad.  As you read, don’t rush, but give the Word time to speak to you. Sometimes a familiar few verses can speak to me in whole new ways when I give them the chance to.

“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.  He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.  Thou dost prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (NASB)

I pray that God speaks to you in a Jesus-sized way today and gives you a whole new perspective on these beautiful verses.
