My dad told me, “Nothing good happens after midnight.” Translation: sin lurks in the darkness.
Darkness is the absence of light. Where light is extinguished darkness exists. Where darkness exists, we are blind to truth, purpose, direction. When we are blind all kind of evil finds a home.
Let there be light! Jesus is the light. We are not.
Unless the light of Jesus shines through us darkness prevails. The answer lies not in the world. The world has no power to create light. The answer lies in Jesus and those that follow Him.
Like the moon reflects the light of the Sun, our lives must reflect the light of the Son.
“Let our light shine among men, so that when they see our good works they may glorify our God in heaven.”
