God Is Not Finished Yet

**Are you hurting? Are you struggling? Are you worried and fearful?**

I’m a fixer, so the first thing I want to do is start coming up with all kinds of plans for how I’m going to make this better. But in all honesty, the first thing I need to do is get on my knees before Almighty God—the Creator, the King of Kings, my Lord and Savior—and surrender it to Him.

**Lord,**

You know what’s on our hearts and minds today. You know the deep and dark valleys we are barely stumbling through. We feel as though the enemy is closing in around us and there is no hope. But You alone, Lord, are the Light in the darkness.

You see our needs. You see the situations, the conversations, and every detail, and You already know the outcome. We know Your Word says that You will use these trials to shape us and bring us closer to You, that You will use them for good and for Your glory.

But God, it’s so hard to see that when our eyes are filled with tears and our hearts are filled with sorrow.

Fix our eyes on You. On Your promises.

Help us remember how You have held us and carried us through hard times before, and how You will do it again. Time and time again, You have been faithful, and You aren’t finished yet.

Lead us beside still waters. And even if the storm continues, fill our hearts with Your peace that passes all understanding. Let us hold tightly to You and not to the things of this world.

In Jesus‘ name, amen.
