“His mother said to the servants, ‘Do whatever He tells you.’” — John 2:5

**DO WHATEVER HE TELLS YOU.**

Simple doesn’t always mean easy.

Such is the case with following Jesus.

To follow Jesus is to do whatever He tells you. It’s simple—like *Follow the Leader* or *Simon Says*. Watch Him. Follow His example. Do what He says.

We’re often comfortable reading about Him, talking about Him, or gathering in groups to discuss Him.

It’s the doing that challenges us.

“But what about ______?”

“I can’t ______.”

“Surely He doesn’t mean for me to ______.”

“What will other people think?”

Obedience isn’t about earning His favor or securing our salvation. In Christ, we already have both. We obey because of what He has done for us, not in order to earn what only He can give.

We serve an audience of One.

Through love and humility, we point others to Him.

Deny yourself. Follow Him. Do whatever He says.

It’s simple.

Not always easy.

But always worth it.
