The next time you are needy, in trouble, or facing a big decision, who are you going to call? Who will give you the answers that you need? Who will supply you with the power to face the challenge?

Here’s a suggestion.

Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those who called on His name. They called upon the Lord and He answered them. He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept His testimonies and the statute that He gave them. O Lord, our God, You answered them! (Psalm 99:6-8)

Other supposed “gods” are silent or, fueled by the enemy’s deceptions, will give you the exact opposite response than what is needed. They will not give life but steal it.

But if you humbly come to the Author and Finisher of faith, to the Way, the Truth, and the Life, you will find all you need. If you call with a humble heart, He will answer. And His answers are always perfectly right. (They may not agree with the answer we have concocted, but His will is always good, acceptable, and perfect).

If you want to continue in this blessed arrangement—calling and receiving God’s answers—then be ready to respond. Notice this couplet:

They called … and He answered

They kept His statues and testimonies.

As I was writing this, I had a dear friend text me. He said that he struggles with anger. But in prayer this morning, the Lord came and removed the anger and prompted him to forgive. Deep peace came to His soul. What happened?

Believer Asking = God Answering =Believer Obeying = God Delivering!

This arrangement will work all the way to heaven for you if you will simply believe in our great prayer-hearing and prayer-answering God.
