Dear Faithful Servant
29 Views

You pour hours of your time into it. Many times, no one ever sees or hears about the work. You take money out of your own pocket to paint, buy supplies, purchase food, even though you don’t always have the resources to do that. Sometimes you wonder if the work you’re doing even matters. Feelings of frustration, doubt, and discouragement fill your heart.

To the humble servant who works in the small food pantry at church—you are important.

To the ladies who clean the church, vacuuming those dusty footprints left by the farmers—you are seen and valued.

To the youth leader with a small group of students—some of them your own children—who feels like nothing is getting through—every encounter, every lesson, every conversation matters.

To the one who gives faithfully every month, even when there’s little to spare—your gift is fruitful, even when you don’t see it.

To the mom or dad who has chosen to homeschool your children despite the critics—you keep pouring into them.

To the pastor who has a vision but can’t quite get the rest of the church on board because “that’s not the way we’ve always done it”—you’ve been called for a purpose, and God is using you.

To the one who pours their heart into an article or blog—offering transparency to an audience in search of authenticity—and it’s only read by three people—those numbers are not insignificant, and neither is your gift.

1 Corinthians 15:58
“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”

Your work is not in vain.

You are valued.

Anything you do for the Lord is important to the Kingdom of God.

Every small gift, extra hour, late-night lesson plan, and gospel conversation that only one person hears—matters.

We may not see rewards, hear attaboys and accolades this side of heaven, but everything you do for the Lord has value.

Keep serving. Keep preaching. Keep teaching. Keep loving those nursery babies. Keep giving. Keep going. Keep offering new ideas. Keep greeting. Keep sharing. Keep praying. Keep loving.

And do so with enthusiasm, knowing it’s not for man but for God.
