If we are talking golf balls, that’s enough to fill an entire football stadium… 2,424 times.

Which is also how many Olympic size swimming pools you could fill with 660,000 gallons of water!

And if we are talking miles, that’s going around the world 64,254 times!

Needless to say, man, that’s A LOT!

This is also the number of people that have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And of those in the world that have, there are still many yet that have never been discipled! This is heartbreaking!

These HUGE numbers can seem overwhelming when we start to think, well, what can I do? I can’t reach that many people?

When I first took on this job at Lifeword, I’ll admit, I too looked at these numbers and thought, “really? Can we really do this? Can we reach these people?” And then the next question was, “and how do we do it?”

I am constantly amazed by God. He says just step out with a tiny bit of faith and I will do BIG things.

In Mark 4, Jesus shares another parable with the disciples, focusing on how the Kingdom of God will advance.

“And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it. But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.” (Mark 4:30-34)

One tiny seed.

The growth from that one seed is unimaginable. If we follow the words it teaches, obeying Him by sharing the gospel and making disciples, we could see the Kingdom of God grow enormously!

But it has to start with that one seed.

I may not be able to change the heart of this world, but I can say yes to God’s call on my life to obey Him. I can share the gospel to those I meet. I can disciple those that need help in their walk with the Lord. I can invest in Lifeword as they produce the gospel in more than one hundred languages and broadcast throughout the world. I can support missionaries who are planting churches and discipling new believers to learn to share the gospel. I can live a life that is different from this world.

My “yes” can make an impact.
