I’m still thinking about what Paul said at the end of Romans 15.
Pray for me.
This is one area that I think many, if not all, of us struggle.
Do we spend as much time praying about something as we do worrying about it? When we say, “praying for you,” do we stop and actually pray? And maybe this is just a question for me, but am I spending more time telling God about my plans, my solutions, my way, than surrendering to His perfect will?
Pray for me.
Those words echo in my mind once again. If you are a follower of Christ, this is our privilege, our honor, our opportunity to go before the King. Do we realize that?
To kneel before the King and to make a request.
A request for ourselves.
A request for others.
What an incredible thought! We can be in communication with our God!
And He hears us. He bends His ear to listen
with compassion
with love
with knowledge and understanding of the entire situation.
How amazing!
So, when Paul says to the Roman church, “join me in my struggle and pray for me,” he means it. He desires for others to join him and go before the Lord.
This morning, will you join me in prayer? These are the things on my mind and my heart this morning. Will you spend some time today speaking to God on behalf of these people and these situations? Is there something you would like to add? Is there a way we can pray for you? I’d be honored!

Pray for missionaries and church planters. Just because God calls you to go to an area to reach a certain group of people does not mean it will be easy. There are incredible challenges these people face every day. Pray that the Lord would be glorified, even in the midst.
Our friends are missionaries in Papua New Guinea. They are in desperate need of a physician. Will you pray for a doctor? This is a huge need, but we serve a big God!
My friend Oscar Gaitan asked us to pray for the brothers and sisters in Nicaragua and in Cuba.
For Lifeword—that the Lord would provide resources and funding needed to continue producing gospel-centered content in people’s heart language and native tongue.
A friend and her husband are wanting to adopt a child. Would you pray for the Lord to open doors that would allow them to become parents and to care for a child who needs them?
As you are going through your day, will you remember these in your prayers? Add your requests in the comments.
