A Call To Courageous Faith
The King is still calling for courageous followers. Will you answer with your life?   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:8–39 (Conclusion) Theme: Will you be counted among the faithful? Reflection: 2 Samuel 23 closes like a battle scroll—names and stories of those who stood with David. Some risked their lives, others simply held the line, but all were remembered. And the question comes to us: will we be counted among them? Courageous faith isn’t just for warriors in ancient days. It’s for students who stand for Christ in their schools. It’s for businesspeople who refuse to compromise. It’s for parents raising kids in truth. It’s for elderly saints still praying and serving. It’s for you. The same Spirit that filled David’s mighty men fills every believer today. And the King we serve? He’s greater than David. His kingdom will never fall. His rewards are eternal. So don’t lose heart. Your faithfulness matters. Heaven sees. The King remembers. Will you commit to be a person of courageous faith—faith that trusts, obeys, leads, and endures? Prayer Points: Pray for renewed strength and commitment to courageous faith. Ask the Spirit to reveal areas where you're holding back. Thank Jesus for calling you into His victorious kingdom. 2 People to pray for Sam & Suzan Jordan and their family, our missionaries in Jordan The Barbaig Lifeword broadcast for the people of Tanzania Summary: The King is still calling for courageous followers. One King, One Kingdom
All courageous faith, however expressed, serves one King and one unshakable kingdom.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:8–39 (composite reflection) Theme: All courageous faith serves one King. Reflection: Every story in 2 Samuel 23 points to one unifying reality: these men, though varied in background, role, and recognition, served the same king and the same kingdom. Whether listed first or last, their courage wasn’t for their own name—it was for David and for Israel. And today, every act of faith, whether grand or small, is meant to serve the glory of King Jesus. God doesn’t call everyone to fight lions or stand in bean fields. But He does call each of us to serve with courageous faith, right where we are. Your acts of obedience today—your faithfulness in parenting, your integrity at work, your quiet service in the church—these are not small. They’re kingdom acts. And they serve the one true King. Remember, Jesus is the greater David. And He is building a kingdom not with swords, but with surrendered lives. Every time we obey Him, trust Him, and stand for truth, we are joining the ranks of the mighty. Prayer Points: Pray for unity in the body of Christ as we serve the same King. Ask God to keep your heart aligned with His kingdom priorities. Thank Him for allowing you to be part of His eternal mission. 2 People to pray for Charles & Mona Costa, our Middle East Coordinator The Afrikaans Lifeword broadcast for the people of South Africa Summary: All courageous faith, however expressed, serves one King and one unshakable kingdom.

Honor The Unknown Heroes
Heaven remembers the names the world forgets. Faithful service is never wasted.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:24–39 Theme: Faithful service deserves recognition. Reflection: The final section of this chapter is a long list of names—names of men who fought, bled, and sacrificed for the kingdom. Many of them we know little about. But God knows. And God records. This list reminds us that no act of faithfulness goes unseen. These men may not have killed lions or made daring water runs, but they stood their ground. They followed their king. And their names are forever etched in Scripture. There are many faithful servants today whose names may never be known to the world, but they are known to God. Nursery workers, intercessors, encouragers, givers—these mighty men and women serve without applause. But in heaven, they are honored. And one day, the King Himself will say, “Well done.” Don’t minimize your place in God’s story. The kingdom advances not just through the Benaiahs and Abishais, but through the faithful obedience of many unnamed saints. Prayer Points: Thank God for the faithful people He has placed in your life. Ask for endurance in quiet, unnoticed service. Every Role Matters In The Kingdom
Courageous faith isn’t about the spotlight, it’s about obedience to the King wherever He places you.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~   Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:18–23 Theme: Not everyone is in the spotlight, but all serve the King. Reflection: Abishai and Benaiah weren’t in the “Big Three,” but they were still mighty men. Abishai struck down 300 men. Benaiah fought a lion in a snowy pit and killed an Egyptian warrior with his own spear. These were not side characters. They were warriors in their own right. And yet, the text tells us, “they did not attain to the three.” That could feel like a slight, but it’s not. Instead, it’s a reminder that God assigns different roles in the kingdom—and all are valuable. Abishai and Benaiah weren’t less faithful or less courageous. They were simply called to serve in different places. Their reward wasn’t in a title—it was in their obedience. This is so important for us to grasp. You may not hold the microphone. You may not be the one in front. But your place in God’s kingdom is no less significant. Faithfulness where God has placed you is the mark of courageous faith. Serve well—whether you’re in the pit with the lion or holding the line behind the scenes. Prayer Points: Thank God for your role in His kingdom, whatever it may be. Ask Him for faithfulness and humility in service. Whether it’s posting your quiet time setup or giving publicly to get praise, we’re asking the real questions: 📱 Is it for God—or just for the feed?🤳 Can you share your faith without performing it?🧠 Why do we crave external validation—even in church stuff? Courageous Leadership Gives God The Glory
Courageous leadership doesn’t seek glory—it pours it out in worship to the One who is worthy.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:13–17 Theme: True leaders point others to the worthiness of God. Reflection: This story of the three mighty men fetching water from a well in enemy-occupied Bethlehem is one of the most stunning displays of loyalty and love in all of Scripture. They heard David’s longing—not even a command, just a wish—and acted on it with fearless resolve. But what happens next is equally powerful. David refuses to drink the water and instead pours it out—to the Lord. At first glance, that may seem disrespectful to the men. But David wasn’t being dismissive—he was being reverent. He was saying, “I am not worthy of this sacrifice. Only God is.” David’s leadership didn’t turn the spotlight on himself—it turned it to God. This is courageous leadership. True leaders tremble at the weight of responsibility. They see the sacrifices of others and are moved—not to take credit, but to give glory. They turn hearts upward. Whether you lead a family, a ministry, or a classroom, let your leadership be like David’s—quick to recognize the worthiness of God above all. Prayer Points: Ask God to make you a leader who trembles at His worthiness. Pray that your leadership would glorify Christ, not yourself. The King Who Fights For Us
We fight our daily battles in the strength of the King who has already won the war.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~   Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:8–12 (with reflection on Christ) Theme: Jesus, the greater David, has won our greatest battle. Reflection: We are told that these mighty men of David fought overwhelming enemies—Philistines, Moabites, Egyptians—and stood firm when no one else would. But even in their faith and courage, we see a foreshadowing of someone greater. Jesus, the Son of David, fought the ultimate battle—not against flesh and blood, but against sin and death itself. And unlike David’s men, we didn’t stand with Him. We fled. He fought alone and won. Jesus didn’t just overcome external enemies—He conquered our internal enemy: sin. And He didn’t do it to hand the sword back to us and say, “You finish the job.” He did it so we would trust Him daily for strength to overcome temptation and live in His victory. As believers, we still face battles, but we do so in the armor of the King who fights for us. This means your spiritual battles today—against anger, pride, addiction, despair—are not yours to win alone. They are fought in the strength of the Lord. He supplies the grace, the courage, and the victory. We fight not for victory, but from it. Prayer Points: Thank Jesus for fighting and winning the battle against your sin. Ask Him to clothe you in His strength for today’s temptations. Pray to grow in daily dependence on Christ’s finished work. 2 People to pray for Bryan & Pam Risner, our missionaries in Romania The Romanian Lifeword broadcast for the people of Romania Summary: We fight our daily battles in the strength of the King who has already won the war.

Victory Belongs To The Lord
True victory is not won by strength or skill, but by courageous faith in the God who saves.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~   Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:8–12 Theme: The Lord brings the victory through faithful warriors. Reflection: When we read about Josheb-basshebeth, Eleazar, and Shammah—the "Big Three"—it's easy to be impressed by their battlefield resumes. One killed 800 in a single encounter. Another fought so long that his hand froze to the sword. Another stood his ground in a bean field when everyone else fled. These men were courageous, relentless, and impressive. But the writer of 2 Samuel doesn’t let us stay there. Twice, in verses 10 and 12, we are reminded that “the LORD brought about a great victory.” This is no small detail. These mighty men didn’t win because of sheer talent or muscle—they won because God acted through them. These were God’s victories, granted through the courageous faith of His servants. And that’s the point. It’s not about the sword or the spear. It’s about faith that says, “I will stand, even when outnumbered, because God is with me.” Like David facing Goliath, the odds didn’t matter. What mattered was trusting that the battle belonged to the Lord. This is true for us too. When the enemy seems stronger—whether it’s sin, fear, or temptation—we remember: God is still the one who wins the fight. Prayer Points: Thank God that victory in your battles depends on Him, not you. Ask for faith like Eleazar and Shammah, who stood their ground when others ran. Pray for courage to fight the spiritual enemies God has already defeated in Christ. 2 People to pray for Sean & Kendall Pasley and their family, our missionaries in France The Portuguese Lifeword broadcast for the people of Portugal Summary: True victory is not won by strength or skill, but by courageous faith in the God who saves.

Faith That Inspires Courage
Courageous faith doesn’t stand alone. It multiplies, strengthens others, and advances the kingdom. #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~   Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:8–12 Theme: Courageous faith spreads and strengthens others. Reflection: We love stories of courage and brotherhood—whether it's soldiers on the battlefield or faithful friends in the trenches of life. In 2 Samuel 23:8-12, we’re introduced to the mighty men of David. These were warriors of grit and resolve, but more than that, they were men shaped by a leader with courageous faith. Like Richard Winters and his men in Band of Brothers, these men were forged in the fires of adversity, bound together by a vision greater than themselves. David, in contrast to Saul, was a leader who inspired loyalty—not through fear but through his walk with God. Courageous faith has a contagious quality. It spreads. David believed in God’s promises and fought in righteous battles, and that courage overflowed to his men. They did not fight for personal glory but for the honor of the Lord and the welfare of Israel. Faith that is real doesn’t hide in a corner. It stands up, and when it does, it strengthens the spine of others around it. Billy Graham once said, “When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” This is the call to us: to stand in bold faith so that others may do the same. Your courage could be the catalyst for someone else’s obedience. Prayer Points: Ask God to strengthen your faith so it inspires others. Pray for courage to take righteous stands in a fearful world. Ask the Lord to surround you with others who pursue godly courage. 2 People to pray for Larry & Tammy Wood, our European Coordinator The Polish Lifeword broadcast for the people of Poland Summary: Courageous faith doesn’t stand alone—it multiplies, strengthens others, and advances the kingdom.

Lori Cline's Greatest Hits: How Good Are You Really?
We can never be good enough to earn our salvation, but Jesus died to give it to us.   #theloriclineshow   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~   Are you a dog person or a cat person? We are dog people, but I will say I love ALL animals.  We ADORE our pets, don’t we? In 2020, the pet industry hit a record sales of 103 Billion dollars. We often care for and love on our pets way more than we do people! It’s true.  We have two dogs, Roxy and Ruby. We love them dearly. They’re good dogs, until they’re not. They’re potty trained to go outside. They can sit, lay down and play fetch. But… they are animals. Animals often do bad things. Roxy likes to eat lizards, baby rabbits and turtles. She will also play with frogs and chipmunks until they die. She loves to go on adventures in the woods beyond our yard if her invisible fence collar is not working. No matter how mean you sound trying to get her to come back, she will stop, look at you, turn back around and keep on walking. So naughty. Ruby loves to eat ANYTHING she can get her little teeth on. She has chewed up shoes, books, pens, shirts, a brand new backpack and so much more. Once she chewed up the leather corners of my Bible, but I guess I really couldn’t be mad because she was feeding on the word, right? I had to do that.  Here’s my point, dogs are good, until they’re not. They can also be really bad. Do we sometimes describe people the same way? He’s a good person. She’s a good person. They do good things. They give, serve, love and are kind. Those ARE good things, but what about all the times he or she may NOT be a good person or may NOT do good things? We don’t like to focus on that do we?  The reason we don’t is because we don’t want to come face to face with the true condition of our human heart, which IS, we are DEAD in our SIN, apart from Christ. See Ephesians ch 2. What God created in the beginning was good, but then a choice was made.  Genesis 2:17 You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die. God’s words to Adam and Eve in the garden were not unclear. When you eat from it, you WILL certainly die. Everything was good, until it wasn’t.  Dr David Jeremiah describes it this way, “Satan was the original violator of the righteousness of God, but sin entered the world through Adam and death entered the world through sin.” While we are responsible for our own choices and sin, we are born into the family of a fallen human race. Adam’s sin brought death to the world and there is not enough good any man or woman can do to wipe that away.  Romans 3:23 says “ALL” have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Here’s the good news,  2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.   It may be difficult for you to see yourself as a sinner and you may do a lot of good things, but the Bible makes it so clear, you could never be good enough to be made right with a holy God apart from the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on a cross. Without Him, you are dead IN your sin.  That’s the truth.    Take an inventory as you think about how good you really are. Go to Exodus 20 and brush up on the ten commandments. Next, go to the words of Jesus who then took those laws much deeper in Matthew chapter five. Scroll on down to the parts about murder, lust and envy in your heart and then the part about loving our enemies.  The truth is we are all sinners, in need of a savior. Thank God, where sin abounded, grace abounded much more. I’m SO thankful for amazing grace that is greater than all my sin.   I’m Lori Cline.

Lori Cline's Greatest Hits: The Church Beyond Easter Sunday
Because of the resurrection, the church should be working in one accord with joy.   #theloriclineshow   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~   What is the number one most attended church day of the year? Easter Sunday!  Did you go to church on Easter? According to research MANY of you probably did.  If you have little ones, you may still have decorated eggs in your fridge, but for the most part the flurry of Easter is behind us. The worship services, brunches, new dresses, ham and potato salad lunches, family photos and all things Easter have been checked off and sadly for many they won’t darken the doors of the church or think much about it until next Easter. According to Gallup, a conservative estimate is that thousands of U.S. churches are closing each year. Back in 1937 when they first measured U.S. church membership, 73% of the U.S. were members of a house of worship. Today, that number is below 50%! While the world around us is changing, the great commission hasn’t changed.  Following Pentecost, as the early church was exploding in Acts 2, the functions of the church established then haven’t changed. What’s changed? What about church beyond Easter Sunday?  Many believers have left the building or have even left the faith. Just look around or have an honest conversation with someone about church. You’ll quickly discover a vast array of reasons why people choose to not gather with the body of Christ.  Some have what I call the quickly spreading ‘itching ears’ virus as described in 2 Timothy 4:3. People will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead they gather around those saying what their ears itch to hear.  People eject because sound doctrine usually leads me to conviction over the sin in my life. Conviction and repentance don’t seem to be a popular topic.  A few other reasons we’ve seen from the long list of why people eject from gathering together are church wounds, a fallen leader, this virus, complacency, consumerism, religious, political and social division and simply not being able to reconcile the suffering and brokenness of this world.  I hear you. I get it. I’ve seen it and experienced it. It gets messy. So why does it matter that we are connected to the body, I’m not talking about a building, I’m talking about an ekklesia, beyond Easter Sunday? We need each another. The body needs every part. See 1 Corinthians 12. The body can’t function FULLY without each member strengthening the other and working together as one. Over and over we see the importance of digging into relationships, pursuing unity in the body, not ejecting, speaking the truth in love and working together for the mission we are all called to fulfill. God’s people coming together become His hands and feet carrying out His plan to show this broken and messy world God’s way, God’s love, God’s grace, God’s mercy and the truth of His coming kingdom.  Hebrews 10:23-25 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. The early church of Acts beyond resurrection day and beyond Jesus ascending to the heavens was FULL of joy! Jesus was ALIVE! There were over 500 eye witnesses! The early church leaders were there! They saw it with their own eyes! This changed EVERYTHING! So why NOW church are we so stale? Why have we lost our JOY? Why are we being tossed about by every wind of doctrine?  Ekklesia, it’s time to speak the truth. It’s time to quit playing church and be the church. It’s time to grow up in maturity and we can’t do that alone. It’s time to gather. It’s time to move as one. We are here for such a time as this.  Jesus is STILL alive and our mission remains the same. That’s the truth.    Will you gather beyond Easter Sunday? It’s not about dressing up. It’s not about checking off your church attendance box. It’s not about a building, it’s about being connected to the living, breathing body of Christ, doing your part that only you can do, so together we can be a city on a hill shining bright to a very dark world around us and beyond.    I’m Lori Cline.

The Morning Of Joy
The morning of joy is near—Christ’s return is our blessed hope.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Scripture: Revelation 22:20 Reflection: David closes his words with confidence in the coming of God’s kingdom. Like the promise in Revelation, "Behold, I come quickly," we await the morning of joy when Christ returns to reign in fullness. The darkness of this present age will not last forever. Just as the night gives way to dawn, the troubles of this world will one day be replaced with the glorious light of Christ’s eternal reign. The return of Christ is not just a theological concept; it is the greatest hope of the believer. Every tear will be wiped away, every injustice made right, and every longing fulfilled in His presence. As we await that day, we are called to live with expectancy. Just as travelers eagerly watch for the first glimpse of the sunrise, so should we anticipate Christ’s return. His coming will be sudden, but it will also be joyful. For those who belong to Him, it will be the fulfillment of every promise and the beginning of an eternity in His presence. The trials and sufferings of this life will be forgotten in the overwhelming joy of His glorious kingdom. 3 Prayer Points: Thank God for the hope of Christ’s return. The Hope Of The Faithful
Our ultimate hope lies not in our past but in the certainty of God’s promises.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:1-7 Reflection: David’s hope at the end of his life was not in his achievements but in God’s eternal promises. No matter how difficult life has been, we can rest in the fact that our future is secure in Christ’s kingdom. Faithfulness to God does not mean a trouble-free life. David’s story is one of both triumph and hardship. Yet, his confidence was in the unshakable truth that God’s kingdom would endure. This is the same hope we hold today. Many believers struggle with the weight of trials, wondering if their suffering has meaning. But David’s perspective reminds us that God’s faithfulness transcends our circumstances. Every challenge we face is temporary in light of eternity. The kingdom of God is advancing, and those who remain steadfast in faith will one day see its full reality. We must anchor our hope in God’s promises, trusting that His rule will bring ultimate justice, peace, and joy. Just as David found comfort in looking forward to what God had promised, so too can we find strength in anticipating the fulfillment of His kingdom. 3 Prayer Points: Praise God for the assurance of our future. Fully Integrated Faith: Lessons from Hebraic Mindset
In this episode, Stand Firm Parents host Jake McCandless sits down with Katherine van der Beek—Israeli tour guide, worship leader, and Bible teacher—to explore how a Hebraic mindset transforms everyday parenting. Katherine shares how fully integrated faith—a belief system where God is seen in everything, not just church—is deeply rooted in Jewish thought. She reflects on personal stories from the land of Israel, including miraculous moments in the desert and sobering lessons from times of conflict, to show how even small events can reveal the nearness and activity of God. This conversation equips Christian parents with the biblical vision and practical encouragement needed to help their children recognize God’s hand in all areas of life—not just on Sundays. It’s a reminder that building a faith that lasts begins with helping our children see that God is not part of life—He is life.

The Nearness Of The Kingdom
The King is coming soon, and we must be prepared for His righteous reign.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Scripture: Matthew 13:41-42 (in relation to 2 Samuel 23:7) Reflection: Jesus warned of the final separation of the righteous and the wicked. David’s words in 2 Samuel 23:7 remind us of a coming kingdom where judgment is certain. We must live in readiness, knowing that the righteous King will soon return. The kingdom of God is closer than we often realize. Every day is an opportunity to align our lives with His will. Jesus’ return is not a distant event, but an imminent reality. Living with this awareness transforms our priorities, pushing us to seek righteousness and share the gospel with urgency. The Bible frequently calls believers to be vigilant, like watchmen waiting for the morning. Just as a farmer prepares for harvest, we must prepare our hearts for Christ’s return. The certainty of His coming should not create fear but anticipation and motivation for holy living. It is easy to become distracted by the world’s concerns, but the nearness of Christ’s return calls us to be faithful stewards of our time, resources, and relationships. Let us not grow complacent but remain diligent in living as citizens of His kingdom, proclaiming His message to those who do not yet know Him. 3 Prayer Points: Ask for readiness for Christ’s return. Pray for those who are far from God. Seek a heart that desires purity and holiness. 2 Peoples to pray for Siripong & Jessie Yaebeang and their family, our missionaries in Thailand The French-European Lifeword broadcast for the people of Europe 1 Summary: The King is coming soon; we must be prepared for His righteous reign.

The Foolishness Of Rejecting The King
To reject the King is to embrace destruction; to accept Him is to inherit eternal life.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~   Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:6-7 “Worthless men are like thorns that are thrown away, for they cannot taken with the hand.; but the man who touches them arms himself with iron and the shaft and they are utterly consumed with fire.” Reflection: The worthless are compared to thorns—dangerous, disposable, and ultimately consumed by fire. Rejecting the reign of Christ leads to destruction. The kingdom has borders, and only those who acknowledge Jesus as King will enter. Many in the world resist Christ’s authority, believing they can rule their own lives. But this passage warns that rejection of God’s kingdom results in separation and judgment. True freedom is found in submission to Christ, not in self-rule. Thorns are not only useless but also harmful. Farmers do not cultivate thorns; they remove them to prevent destruction to themselves. Similarly, those who reject God’s truth and oppose His kingdom will be cast out. The world promotes self-reliance and rebellion against divine authority, but the end of such a path is separation from God. Scripture is clear that Christ will separate those who belong to Him from those who persist in rejecting Him. It is a sobering reality, but one that should motivate us to seek Him earnestly and call others to repentance. We must evaluate our lives—are we truly surrendered to Christ, or are we living in ways that reject His authority? 3 Prayer Points: Pray for a heart fully surrendered to Christ’s reign. Intercede for those who have not yet accepted His lordship. Ask for boldness in proclaiming the truth of His kingdom. 2 Peoples to pray for Brandon & Brittney Lingle and their family, our missionaries in Thailand The Vietnamese Lifeword broadcast for the people of Vietnam 1 Summary: To reject the King is to embrace destruction; to accept Him is to inherit eternal life.

The Certainty Of God’s Covenant
God’s covenant is secure and unshakable, giving us confidence in His eternal kingdom.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Reflection: David reflects on God’s everlasting covenant, one that is "ordered and secure." Despite the failures in his reign, David trusts that God's promises will stand. Our faith must rest in the certainty of God's word, not our circumstances. Life is unpredictable, and human promises are often broken. Yet, God’s covenant stands firm. When He makes a promise, it is eternal. The covenant with David points forward to the ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ, the King who reigns forever. As we navigate life’s uncertainties, we can rest in knowing that God’s plans for redemption and restoration are unshakable. David had seen both the highs and lows of leadership. He experienced the blessings of God but also endured deep personal failures. Yet, he knew that God’s promises were greater than his mistakes. This same truth applies to us. Our salvation does not rest on our own efforts but on the faithfulness of God. No matter how unstable life may seem, we can trust that God’s promises remain secure. His kingdom is not dependent on human ability, but on His divine will, which will be fulfilled in its entirety. 3 Prayer Points: Praise God for His unchanging promises. Ask for faith to trust in His covenant. Pray for those struggling with doubt to be reassured by His word. 2 People to pray for Danny & Rita Ballard, our missionaries in the Philippines The T’boli Upper Lifeword broadcast for the people of the Philippines 1 Summary: God’s covenant is secure and unshakable, giving us confidence in His eternal kingdom.

The Life-Giving Rule Of The King
A just King brings life, growth, and renewal—our sustenance is found in Christ.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Reflection: A just ruler who fears God is like the dawn breaking through darkness, like rain refreshing the land. The reign of Jesus Christ is our ultimate source of life and nourishment. Abiding in Him ensures spiritual vitality and growth. Without light and water, the earth becomes barren. Likewise, without Christ’s rule in our lives, we wither spiritually. The righteousness of Christ provides the life we need to thrive. When we submit to His authority, we experience true peace and joy, knowing that His reign is one of justice, mercy, and provision. This metaphor reminds us of how much we need Jesus daily. Just as a plant cannot thrive without sunlight and water, we cannot grow spiritually apart from Christ. Many times, we attempt to sustain ourselves through human strength, yet the true source of life is found in abiding in Jesus. He refreshes our weary souls, provides direction, and nourishes us with His truth. His justice ensures that righteousness will ultimately prevail in the world, bringing hope to those who suffer under the weight of sin and oppression. 3 Prayer Points: Thank God for His life-giving rule. Ask for a heart that abides in Christ. Pray for the Church to reflect His kingdom reign. 2 Peoples to pray for Doug & Diane Lee, our missionaries in the Philippines The Urdu Lifeword broadcast for the people of Pakistan 1 Summary: A just King brings life, growth, and renewal—our sustenance is found in Christ.
