Scripture

2 Samuel 23:1-7

Our ultimate hope lies not in our past but in the certainty of God’s promises.   #daybydaylw   Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org!   ~~~ Scripture: 2 Samuel 23:1-7 Reflection: David’s hope at the end of his life was not in his achievements but in God’s eternal promises. No matter how difficult life has been, we can rest in the fact that our future is secure in Christ’s kingdom. Faithfulness to God does not mean a trouble-free life. David’s story is one of both triumph and hardship. Yet, his confidence was in the unshakable truth that God’s kingdom would endure. This is the same hope we hold today. Many believers struggle with the weight of trials, wondering if their suffering has meaning. But David’s perspective reminds us that God’s faithfulness transcends our circumstances. Every challenge we face is temporary in light of eternity. The kingdom of God is advancing, and those who remain steadfast in faith will one day see its full reality. We must anchor our hope in God’s promises, trusting that His rule will bring ultimate justice, peace, and joy. Just as David found comfort in looking forward to what God had promised, so too can we find strength in anticipating the fulfillment of His kingdom. 3 Prayer Points: Praise God for the assurance of our future. Pray for endurance in faith. Ask for a greater longing for His kingdom. 2 Peoples to pray for Grady & Denise Johnson and their family, our missionaries in Mexico The German Lifeword broadcast for the people of Germany & Romania 1 Summary: Our ultimate hope lies not in our past but in the certainty of God’s promises.
