Scripture
In hard seasons, we should look up and recognize that God always fulfills His promises. #daybydaylw Interested in learning more about becoming a devoted follower of Christ? Go to follow.lifeword.org! ~~~ Ethan writes in Psalm 89:1 that he will worship in a hard season because of the covenant God made with David, and then Ethan moves from the earthly realm to the heavenly. It’s as if Ethan takes that Selah moment in verse 4, pondering the greatness of the covenant, and realizes it was the greatness of God who established the covenant. Majesty of God—Ethan calls on all creation, holy ones and heavenly beings, to worship God. Mightiness of God—His ability to rule the raging sea (chaos), to crush Rahab (sea creature, mythological); mountains praise you We see the majesty and might of God in His ability to create and rule over his creation. Surely we can trust him to fulfill his promises. So if you are in a hard season right now, consider the stars, and how they shine. God created them and rules over them still today, as he still to this day fulfills his promises to his children.
