Scripture

Exodus 6:28-30

He said to him, “I am the Lord! Tell Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, everything I am telling you.” But Moses argued with the Lord, saying, “I can’t do it! I’m such a clumsy speaker!

Why give Moses a task that was outside of his skill set? Because if Moses was a great public speaker and seemed worthy of the job than Moses would be the one to get the glory for what God was about to do. So instead God chose someone who wasn’t qualified, but was obedient and he equipped Moses by his power for the job.
